A lot of tourists like to visit the farms: it's an unforgettable experience, especially for the children

It's interesting to take a walk on the sweet hills, in any part of the year, not only because of the nature, but also for the animals: the spectacular charme of the country life will conquer you.

An excursion in a farm  will enable the children to watch and know the animals they had only seen on tv or books, they will learn how to respect nature and will know the origins of the food we eat everyday and the importance of their Mother Earth

Beekiping

When honey has reached the appropriate humidity level, it is placed by the bees in the hives which are covered by a layer of wax. This is when the beekeeper takes the favo, removes the layes and extracts the honey with a special tool. Afterwards he puts in in glass vases, the most appropriate material to respect its natural features The honey's crystallization has varying durations and guarantees the vital elements integrity, keeping intact the nutrional and energetic value. It will return to a fluid condition once partially immerged in water not over a 40? C temperature

Fruitkeeping

The sweet hills are growing, and with them the whole estate: a fundamental operation that we are developping, and that you can take part in, is the fuitkeeping. It begins with the planting of the chosen specimens (the techniques, distances, frames and opetations are different according to the plants). The plants are normally disposed from North to South, in order to guarantee a better position towards the sun

Visitors may pick up and taste the fruits according to the year period

Olivekeeping

Visitors may take part in the olives harvest: this is a gradual process, which lasts several months. The fruits might be harvested with the hands (or with a special tool), by shaking the big plants and then picking them up from the ground or by picking the olives up after their ripening.

The olives are carried by means of wicker boxes to the pressing, where they are immediately dashed, unless it's necessary to dry them, but this period implies an initial fermentations and an increase of the acid content.

You can purchase our homemade extra-virgin oil
